SORRENTO FOOD & WINE TOUR

Wine and dine by the sea!

Join us for a Food Tour of magnificent Sorrento. High upon a  cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples, the views of the Amalfi Coast and Mt. Vesuvius are spectacular! Come and explore the historic neighborhoods with their charming shops and restaurants.

If you’re staying on the Coast, you’ll find it convenient to meet your expert English-speaking guide for this culinary adventure. We’ll begin in Sorrento’s main square,  Piazza Tasso. Named after the famed poet Torquato Tasso, this is the cultural heart of town. Meander toward the Via San Cesareo, and enjoy a feast for the senses.

Fresh produce, lemon themed items,  handcrafts and eateries  line the ancient cobbled street. Sip a Limoncello, the regions’  delightful lemon liqueur. Taste aromatic and delicious locally sourced delicacies. Peek into couture and jewelry shops for that extra-special something, and listen to traditional music played by strolling musicians. At a local trattoria we’ll sample seasonal appetizers of fresh cheese and salumi (tasty cold meats).

A great feast for our eyes and taste buds. We loved to try fresh figs and other fruits and food we never ate before. Thank you guys for a memorable experience in your beautiful city. Mary K, Tupelo, USA

We’ll sightsee as we walk down to the Amalfi Coast’s  Marina Grande. This fishing port was featured in the movies of Sofia Loren. The rocky shoreline is stunning, and the pier is a festive marketplace. Waiting for us here is rich and hearty pasta, like Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. An assortment of locally made wines will be offered to accompany our classic Italian meal. Relax and admire the views of the fabulous Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius.

We will bid each other good-bye over a coffee and some  gelato  in the best ice cream parlor in town. Learn how the dairy treat was made in ancient times, and how it can be prepared at home today.

Our food tours are becoming very popular, so book early. For information and reservations, please contact us at info@tastytours.com.
