Explore the local streets and taste the best local food on a pleasure walking tour during this 4-hours experience with an expert guide! Naples is a huge city, busy and noisy, but definitely with one of the best culinary recipes of the country. While walking through historic places, churches and monuments we will guide you to the best spots to taste traditional dishes beloved by locals.
Thanks to the expertise of our guides, you will walk through the stunning streets of the city centre admiring monuments and artworks, while being able to stop at any time by one of the many pizzaiolos that we will find on our path. Taste the typical fried pizza before visiting Spaccanapoli, or see Piazza del Gesù soon after you tried the real Eggplant Parmigiana! Our guided walking tour will take you to the monumental site of Santa Chiara and Piazza Bellini, in which you will have the chance to taste the true Pizza Margherita, invented back in 1889, when King Umberto I and Queen Margherita visited Naples. After a look at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella, the tour will arrive in Piazza San Gaetano and by the two amazing Basilicas consecrated to Saint Lawrence and Saint Paul. Then, in a pleasant stroll down the charming streets of San Biagio dei Librai and San Gregorio Armeno, you will admire hundreds of small local artisan shops, selling their Nativity figurines for Christmas!
The food experience will go on as we go, as you will have the chance to taste the famous Aglianico wine while eating some local specialties such as Friarielli, local Soups and Ragù. Our journey through art and food will end at Piazza Plebiscito, the most impressive monumental square in Naples. There, you will admire Galleria Umberto, the Royal Palace and the San Carlo Theatre, while in the nearby alleyways we will taste some of Naples’ typical cakes, including Babà and Sfogliatelle.

Naples is a very busy city, please, make sure to arrive on time, leave earlier your accommodation or you may lose the tour due traffic jam. The tour will start sharp on time at 6pm. We strongly suggest you to not reach the city center by car (if so leave very early). If you are coming from the Amalfi Coast make sure to leave very early (more than 3 hours, there are a lot of traffic jam on the way to Naples). It’s NOT possible to join the activity once it has started. This is key to ensuring the quality of your experience.
